GoGreen Week week 6

Welcome to GoGreen Week
GoGreen Week
February 3-7, 2025

In week 6, we're ramping up sustainability again throughout DANDY Business Park. This time with a wintry twist! From February 3-7, we're diving into sustainable solutions, smarter habits and a brighter future, even in the darkness of winter.

GoGreen Week is about more than just thinking sustainable - it's about acting sustainable! Through resource-saving initiatives and engaging activities, we invite you to explore how the workplace of the future can become more sustainable in 2030.

We hope you'll play along and help make DANDY Business Park a greener and more sustainable place to work.

Let's create the workplace of the future together today!

Energy consumption

To reduce our energy consumption, we will implement several measures to make our buildings even more energy efficient:

Optimizing sun blinds: In AI Innovation House, Nord Huset and Advice House, the sun blinds are set to let heat in, rather than only being controlled by light level (LUX).

Lower night temperatures: We lower the temperature at night and allow larger deadbands (temperature ranges) to save heat.

Efficient measurements: We closely monitor heat consumption and compare it with data from the same week in 2024 and a similar week

CO₂ footprint on food

In the canteen, we are once again reducing our carbon footprint - and this time the red meat is on vacation.
Last year we went all in with a 100% green and fish-based menu. This year we've listened to your feedback and removed the beef, but still kept delicious green dishes as the main focus. The buffet will be colorful, varied and filled with vegetables, while chicken, pork and fish will also be part of the selection.

Did you know. It takes over 15,000 liters of water to produce 1 kg of beef.

Beef also emits 12-25 times more CO₂ than chicken and pork. That's why we serve sustainable alternatives that save both water and carbon footprint (sources: Dyrenes Alliance, Concito).

Food waste

During GoGreen Week, you can help minimize food waste by taking home excess food from the buffet - for free!
Remember to bring a bucket from home and stop by the canteen. Then dinner is secured.
If you don't have your own bucket, you can buy a bucket in the canteen for DKK 10.

Times for picking up buffet waste:
12:30 p.m.
Advice House, Business House & Resilience House.
13:00 hrs.
Food Innovation House, Green Tech House, AI Innovation House and Nordhuset.

ATTENTION! Free food waste is on a first-come, first-served basis and is only available in week 6 when we have GoGreen Week. All other days it is possible to buy leftovers from the buffet to take home.

Waste sorting and reducing residual waste

As part of GoGreen Week, we are installing elegant new waste stations in every house. Here, waste can be sorted into 8 different fragments so that together we can reduce the amount of residual waste and make waste management even more efficient.

Minimizing resources

Small changes in our behavior can make a big difference to our resource consumption. It's all about thinking about our everyday habits. Here are some simple tips:

  • Use small flush in the toilet when enough is enough. You save 3 liters of water and reduce water consumption by 50% every time you flush.
  • Only use 1-2 wipes when drying your hands - more is rarely needed.
  • Print on both sides and ask yourself if you really need to print the whole document.
  • Reuse your coffee cup and water glass throughout the day instead of taking new ones.
  • Choose the stairs over the elevator - it's good for both energy consumption and fitness!
  • Take only what you can eat from the buffet - avoid food waste.

Remember:
The planet can do without us - but we can't do without it. Your efforts make a difference!

The recycling center

We want to encourage everyone to share and make use of each other's resources. That's why we have set up a shared recycling center in Green Tech House. Follow the signs.

From Wednesday, January 29 in week 5, you can drop by the Recycling Center and hand in items from your home or office that you no longer use, but which you think others can benefit from. Maybe you'll leave with exactly what you need?

Requirements for items in the Recycling Center
It must not be broken, it must be usable and clean.

All surplus items from the Recycling Center will be taken for recycling at the end of the week.

Location:
Green Tech House. Look for signs that say "Genbrugsen"

Stop by whenever it suits you between 7:30 and 16:30.

Fresh air and movement

During GoGreen Week, we focus on fresh air and movement - both as part of the working day and on the way to and from work. Therefore, we encourage everyone to choose sustainable modes of transportation whenever possible: cycling, walking, public transport or carpooling.

During the working day, we want to encourage more movement among everyone in the park. We have great walking paths and beautiful biodiversity just waiting to be explored. That's why we're running a Walk & Talk competition to celebrate the company that records the most Walk & Talk min. per employee.

ATTENTION! The competition runs from Monday, February 3rd to Friday, February 7th between 07:00 - 17:00
The winner will be announced in week 8.

Prize: A gift card to Restaurant Nögen for 10 people worth DKK 3,790.
Enter the competition

Don't forget to join our joint Walk & Talk from the reception after lunch - a great way to combine fresh air, movement and socializing.

Meeting time every weekday in week 6 for joint Walk & Talk:

Advice House - 12:30

Resilience House - 11:00

Green Tech House - 12:30

Food Innovation House - 12:30

AI Innovation House - 12:00
